Greetings! I'm glad you've found your way to our applications section; I'm Duke Nicholas, your Minister for Applications and Settlement and /u/Captain_Mayday.

To start out, I'll point you in the direction of our FAQ: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=192. If you haven't see it already, it offers a good introduction to the basic principles and traditions of the Mercurian Empire. You may also want to check out our Applicant Introduction, where I go in-depth on the application process: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=58.

Now, on to your application!

For a start, I'm interested in Jenkins's story as a wanderer and an individual of, shall we say, dubious qualities at times. History has shown that Hermertia is always welcoming to those seeking a new home or new fortunes, and I can tell that you might fall into this category. I am very interested in learning more about Jenkins's story!

As to a couple things we can work on expanding:

Where is/was Jenkins's home? Did he grow up and carry out his exploits in one of the known realms of Hermertia? (If his memory is a bit too fuzzy from the tankard of ale he no doubt just poured back, you might wish to consult our map: http://i.imgur.com/7jvi6HH.jpg)

What does Jenkins plan on doing now? It seems as though settling in one location has failed him in the past, but the Empire is teeming with potential welcoming lieges; perhaps he would care to give it another go and build his way up under one? Or maybe the traveler's life is one for him; besides slightly suspect fortune-telling, does he have any other skills he could bring to the Empire?

I'll leave these thoughts with you good sir! Over the next bit you should see others of the community respond to your application; many will no doubt have questions of their own. Again, I'll refer you to our discussion of the application process (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=58) for the run-down of what you can expect next. While you're waiting, I absolutely encourage you to take a look around the forums at the many different aspects of life in Hermertia, and to shoot me a pm or reply here with any questions you might have.

Until then, I'll leave off with an introduction to the Imperial motto since time immemorial:

For Glory!

I am Hand of the King to Lord Scrios of Perth.
I am intrigued by your characters story. Are his talents pure guile or does he possess a small modicum of the sight? interesting.

Welcome! If you do become a citizen of the Mercurian Empire, I will be interested in what you will do. We do have many people who started out as wanderers but ended up settling down.

A very interesting past you have! Despite making some, perhaps, unsavory decisions, it seems as though you have some wits about you. Not just anyone could pretend to have the ability to read the future and get by living comfortably in a kingdom for 10 years! I think you could be a very nice asset to the server, and a great vassal wherever you do eventually end up. With that being said, I offer you my vote! Good luck with the rest of the application process!

Having re read your application, you have gained my vote, and the vote of Lord Scrios via proxy vote.
1 Duke vote and 1 Royal vote.

You have 2 kings and 1 Duke so far. You need the House of Dukes to pass a bill on your application and then only 3 kings, or 4 kings with no Duke support.
