Sitting in his birch cottage, Ile, son of Albus Stark, sat quietly overlooking the county of Arahn. His father ruled it, but he was away on an Imperial battle, much like his father before him. It had been weeks since his last letter, which stated he had arrived at the camp of the battle force and had met with some old friends and met some new ones. The letter was incredibly vague which made Ile incredibly uncomfortable. His adopted brother, Timur, always taunted him with stories of shamans stealing identities and what not. But on the final day of the week, Ile was met with a letter from the Imperial forces: Dear Ile Stark, His nobility Albus Stark, Grand Count of Laghima, was slain among several others in the battle. His loss was not in vain, for the Imperial Forces were successful in defeating the nemesis. Your father has appointed you as Grand Count of Laghima and inheritor of all his possessions and titles, as stated in his will. Thank you for the cooperation. Ile did not know how to respond to such a letter. So simple, so empty and so cold. His father was the minister of Culture, a valuable member to the empire! After some mediation he let his anger settle down and assumed his positions. He sent a letter to the Imperial Office of Nobility in response: Greetings, I, Ile, have recognized my fathers death and understand his body will not return to us. He will be one of the Last Victims of the wicked menace. I have absorbed his titles and roles, including Minister of Culture. I also adopt the regnal name of Darius Stark. Thank you for your cooperation. Also a name change to Darius would be cool. |
