Origin / History
The information described here was compiled by Wysterian scholars who translated, studied and interpreted the Ender Scriptures; a collection of twelve obsidian slabs covered in ancients writings.

These slabs were recovered after Chester-le-Ford's Garrison, aided by a detachment of Pyrencian guards, raided the hidden Cult's temple. The reasons leading to this raid and the Pyrencians' interests in this affair were classified.

The Ender Cult is thought to be ancient, its roots extending back into Old Hermertia. The Servants, as the cult members call themselves, believe there was a time when Dragons ruled not only the End, but the Overworld skies as well. According to their scriptures, Dragons were worshiped as gods and affected mortals in two ways. Some mortals were designated to serve them as priests. This title came with a physical transition into what we know today as Endermen. Other mortals were honored for various reasons such as building a majestic temple, writing and singing their Lords' praises or performing some mighty services for the Dragons. These mortals would sometimes be gifted what they referred to as Dragon blood which granted them unparalleled abilities, although this came with a price; mortal bodies not being made to withstand such blood, their transience was greatly increased.

Dragon Lords, Dragon Blooded, Dark Priests and mortals lived in harmony for a time, until the mortals' greed made them rebel and the world was plunged into war and chaos. The Obsidian slabs relate that while the mortals went to war with the intention of eradicating the Dragons in order to rule the world themselves, the wise and merciful Dragon Lords took a purely defensive approach. They held back and tried to reason, but were overpowered when the Dragon Blooded betrayed them and sided with the mortals. Thus, as a result of their mercy, they were eventually all killed but for one single female which was saved by the priests and brought to the End, destined to one day bring the Dragons Reign back to the Overworld.

The cult was formed by a mortal referred to as the First Harbinger who had visions which he believed were sent by the Dragons' souls. He quickly gained a number of followers and the Cult was formed.

Scriptures:
The first obsidian slab is consecrated to the history of the Cult as summarized above.

The second slab was not recovered from the raid; it was destroyed by the authorities as it contained "dangerous information".

The third and fourth slabs respectively treat of the Second to Fifth Harbingers and the Sixth to Eleventh Harbingers. The prophecies are cryptic and most are still subject to debate among the scholars.

The remaining seven slabs all relate to the Twelfth Harbinger and the Return of the Dragons. According to the Scriptures, the Twelfth Harbinger was to lead the cultists East, "where the night becomes day" which explains their presence in Chester-le-Ford; Hermertia's most Eastern settlement at this time. They believe that they were to construct a portal linking the End and the Overworld and that the Dragon would communicate with the Twelfth Harbinger when it was time. Then, at dawn, it would enter the Overworld and kill the day. [Note: Interrogation of surviving cultists revealed that they believed of the day as a literal being, talking of the day, the sun and the Phoenix interchangeably.] Then, the dragon would reward twelve of the cultists by appointing them as "Sacred Guardians ruling the Eastern sky, ensuring that the day never rises again and that the night remains night".

Worship Sites:
The only known site of worship was a secret underground temple built under a farm in Chester-le-Ford. It is believed that other sites of worship must exist considering how old the cult is.

A vile stain upon the Empire. Their creed hopefully has been destroyed along with the destruction of the Dragon by victorious Imperial Forces.
